About Dr. Gupta:
Dr. Sandeepkumar Gupta is a board-certified rheumatologist at Empowered Arthritis and Rheumatology. His extensive training and expertise enable him to address a variety of rheumatological conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, and multiple other auto-immune disorders. The team at EARC including Dr. Gupta focuses on providing patients with high-quality, comprehensive, patient-centered care. He provides high quality care to his patients by actively listening to every patient, showing genuine interest in each of them and providing individualized care. His goal in the care of patients is to empower them by helping them understand about the diseases and available treatment options.
Dr. Gupta lives in Cary, NC with his wife and two energetic young boys. He likes to spend his free time with his family, preparing for running marathons, yoga and reading and listening to books. He also practices meditation on a regular basis.
After serving as an Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University for two years, Dr. Gupta moved to North Carolina in 2021. He worked at EmergeOrtho in the rheumatology division in Durham and Wake Forest for 1.5 years and later transitioned to open his private practice. He currently practices as a Rheumatologist at Empowered Arthritis and Rheumatology PLCC. He is cofounder of Empowered Arthritis and Rheumatology. He also practices as a Hospitalist at WakeMed and Central Regional hospitals in North Carolina. He serves as a board member for the North Carolina Rheumatology Association (NCRA). He is a fellow member of American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and American College of Physicians (ACP).
